Educators, experiences your students have in our informal education setting will stay with them for a lifetime.  Only at Sci-Port can students journey 50,000 light years above the Milky Way, analyze the quality of water taken straight from the Red River, touch an alligator, discover the complex structure of a leafcutter ant colony, or witness their hair standing on end with the Van de Graaff generator.  Sci-Port programs invite you and your students to ask questions, explore, learn and have fun. Our on-staff educators from Caddo and Bossier parishes ensure that each program you witness is specifically geared to your GLEs and Comprehensive Curriculum, and we also strongly encourage you to attend the "Best Field Trip Ever" teacher workshop to maximize your students' learning on their visit to

Sci-Port forms partnerships with local schools in the School Partner Program. This opportunity for your students to delve deeper into science and math has had tangible and measurable results in those schools who have participated.  For example, in two years of School Pass Partner participation, the percentage of Oil City Elementary students scoring at Basic or above levels in science on LEAP tests jumped from 33% to 71%. 

With over 90,000 square feet of exhibits and demonstration space, an IMAX Dome Theatre, Space Center with its Space Dome Planetarium, Sci-Port continues to meet the educational needs of students of all ages.
