Camp Themes and Descriptions
(Theme adjusted to each grade level.)

Anatomy Academy
Think you might like to be in the medical profession one day? Learn how to check vital signs, determine blood types, feel a real human heart and lung and even dissect a frog!

Are We There Yet?
How do you get from place to place?  Learn about the forces behind cars, planes, boats and rockets.  Campers will create cars powered by air, ships powered by wind and boats propelled by paddles.  You can even design parachutes to test in a drop from the second floor balcony!

Be an Astronaut
Experience what it's like to walk on the moon, try on a space suit, make your own astronaut snacks and find out how to live like an astronaut!

Greece: Secrets of the Past
Investigate what happens to artifacts buried over time and learn how convection currents put pressure on tectonic plates.  Campers will also experience art and food of Greece, create their own mythological monster and find "treasure" in an archaeological dig.

Grossology
Learn about all the wonderfully gross things in your body that make you who you are!  Explore the creepy crawlies that keep you clean, look a germ in the eye and even make your own boogers!

Ingenious Inventions
Discover the science behind kid-created inventions of the past and get the chance to create your own versions of famous inventions through the years.  Campers will invent their own cold weather gear, popsicle flavors, glowing gadgets and carbonation collectors.

Journey to Deep Space
You've ventured to Mars...now plan your mission into deep space!  Learn about black holes, nebulae and distant galaxies while designing a device to gather data on your mission past the realm of our galaxy and into deep space.

Little Doctor's Academy
Learn all about how your body works!  Campers will make brain food, body aprons and take a trip through a giant circulatory system.

Mission to Mars
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to become part of a special space team that will receive the important challenge of planning, preparing and participating in a mission to Mars in Sci-Port's very own solar system!

Mission to the Moon
Experience life as an astronaut, plan a trip to space and conduct lunar experiments on Sci-Port's moon!

Nature Explorers
Explore the wonders of the world around us.  Create your own fossils, go on a critter safari and even paint with dirt!

Robotics Lab for Beginners
Build and program LEGO NXT robots to complete challenges ranging from performing surgery inside a simulated circulatory system to dancing to beats that you create!  This fun-filled camp is great for beginners to robotics.

Sci-Wart's Academy
Attention all Sci-Warts students! The new term will start soon with a new collection of potions, spells and charms from all your favorite Harry Potter adventures. And of course, the ever popular Quidditch tournament will return as a day of action-packed competition!

Storybook Science
Explore science in the world of your favorite Dr. Seuss stories!  Listen up and look carefully for the little things like Horton, make your own sticky mess like Bartholomew and spend the day learning about Sci-Port's very own Box Turtle!  Campers will even learn egg-traordinary science tricks and taste unusually colored eggs and ham!

Young Einstein's Lab
From erupting volcanoes and pop rockets to acids and bases and making butter, Young Einstein's Lab gives campers a real "hands-on" approach to chemistry.
