Youth Leadership Program
What is the Youth Leadership Program?
Sci-Port's Youth Leadership Program is a chance for high school students to develop their leadership skills while helping children to learn about science and math.

Who can apply?
Any student entering their freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year of high school.

Requirements:

• Entering 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the 2010-2011 school year
• Energetic
• Curious
• Interest in Science & Learning
• Initiative
• Dependable

Deadline to apply for Youth Leadership Program is April, 29.

Sessions: (Volunteers are required to work two weeks, not necessarily consecutive weeks, but it would be helpful.)
May 31 - June 4            June 28 - July 2
June 7 - 11                   July 12 - 16
June 14 - 18                  July 19 - 23
June 21 - 25                  July 26 - 30

Morning Session Shifts:
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Afternoon Sessions Shifts:
12:30 - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
(Full day sessions must be approved through Jennifer Holt)

All new volunteers are required to attend the full day training for their session. The session for June volunteers will be held 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (with a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks) on Saturday, May 29. The training session for July and August volunteers will be held 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7. Optional training sessions, which include interaction and presentation, interview and resume training, will be held on Thursday, July 8.

• Interaction/ Presentation Training: 10:00 - 10:30 a.m.
• Interview Training: 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.
• Resume Training: 11:00 a.m. - Noon
