Parents, Sci-Port Holiday Day Camps can give you just the break you need to finish your cooking, shopping and prepping so that you can relax and enjoy the season with your family! Kids, tired of just sitting around the house while your parents get ready for the holidays? Tell them about Sci-Port Holiday Day Camps. They're educational... and fun!
Sci-Port's Holiday Day Camps are themed and designed to accommodate specific grade groups, as follows: K - 1st, 2nd - 3rd and 4th - 5th grades. Each camper must be currently enrolled in the corresponding grade groups listed above for the 2011-12 school year. Themes vary day to day from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily.
Each day camp includes a mid-morning and afternoon snack, all materials and supplies needed for the session, a 30-minute supervised lunch provided by Counter Culture @ Sci-Port and an IMAX film admission.
Each Day Camp Costs: Members $40; Non-Members $45
Extended Care Options (Must be arranged at time of booking.):
Morning Care (8 - 9 a.m.): $6 per day
Afternoon Care (4 - 5 p.m.): $6 per day
Morning and Afternoon Care (8 - 9 a.m. & 4 - 5 p.m.): $12 per day
Drop off is located inside the Center in the Swepco Demonstration Theater. Pick-up will be available curbside or inside the building in the Anderson Family Foucault Pendulum area.

Holiday Day Camp Themes:
December 19 - 23 & 27 - 30
 Monday, December 19: Elfish Mischief
Create an elfish treat, decorate ornaments to decorate the Center and invent something to keep your elfish ears toasty warm. What would elves be without some snow?- Tuesday, December 20: African Safari
What would it take to survive the wilderness? Campers will create their own creatures of the Serengeti, learn about different animal defenses and explore different types of snakes!
- Wednesday, December 21: Crazy Colors
Experience the crazy world of light and color! Campers will create glow in the dark paint, make their own spinning wheels of color and learn about the science of color mixing!
- Thursday, December 22: Up, Up & Away
How do planes stay in the sky? Campers will make their own planes to take home and design a parachute to save an "egghead" pilot from a drop from the second floor balcony at Sci-Port!
- Friday December 23: Toymakers Workshop
Create your own toys and learn how they work! Campers will make a kaleidoscope, a rainmaker and other creative contraptions.
 Tuesday, December 27: Aren't you a little young to be...
rocket scientists?
I know what we are going to do today! First, we need some sunglasses and sunscreen. Then, we need to build a rocket if we are going to make it to the sun!- Wednesday, December 28: Pirates of the Port
Become a pirate of the port! Campers will create pirates hats, pirate maps and cascade throughout the Center in search of long lost treasure!
- Thursday, December 29: Noisemakers
Experiment with sound! Campers will learn about sound as they create their own tambourines, kazoos and parade throughout the Center!
- Friday, December 30: Fantastic Fireworks
Curious about fireworks? Campers will find out how fireworks work, see a spectacular sparkling demonstration and make their own safe sparkling masterpieces to take home with them!
January 2 - 4
- Monday, January 2: African Safari
