Mad Scientist Cycle for Sci-Port

Saturday, October 16, 2010           Share

Uniting two of our major educational initiatives, health and the environment, Sci-Port hosts the Second Annual Mad Scientist Cycle, raising funds to support hands-on STEM education for students in our region.  The ride will be held on the morning of Saturday, October 16 at 8 a.m.  Don't miss this scenic, rural, bicycle ride and the opportunity to support our mission for building a scientifically-literate community.

The short, medium and long routes accommodate both the experienced and amateur cyclists.  Adding to the foundation of the inaugural event held in 2009, Sci-Port will again build this event to be a professionally-organized ride with all the free benefits cyclists have come to expect -- a gift bag, event logo t-shirt, rest stops with snacks and refreshments, SAG vehicle support, a post-ride meal and plenty of "Mad Scientist" fun by the day's end.

This ride is open to cyclists only; riders must be age 16 or older.  Tow-behinds are not permitted.  Parental signature on a waiver is required for riders under age 18.
