Shreveport, La. – On Saturday, August 23, from 8 to 11 p.m., Sci-Port: Louisiana’s Science Center will host The Dog Days of Summer as part of the Science on the Rocks series, which is open to anyone ages 21+.

Attendees of The Dog Days of Summer will have the opportunity to see presentations featuring animal constellations in the Center’s Sawyer Space Dome Planetarium, visit the "woof"-top for additional viewing using Sci-Port's telescopes (weather permitting), and receive a Sci-Port bandanna and a dog print keepsake for their dog. Dog enthusiasts may also make healthy homemade treats and visit the “dog park” in the Center's Franks Foundation Solarium.

Dogs must have current immunization tags. Admission is $10 per person.

A cash bar will be available, and The Missing Link food truck – featuring gourmet hot dogs – will be set up outside of the Center.
