Beginning Saturday, March 3, residents of DeSoto Parish will have free admission to Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. This has been made possible by the DeSoto Parish Police Jury. Visitors must show proof of residency in DeSoto Parish to receive free admission. Admission to Sci-Port includes access to over 290 hands-on exhibits, daily interactive programs and demonstrations and the Dayna and Ronald L. Sawyer Space Dome Planetarium. Sci-Port is a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers; a LA Space Consortium member and is recognized by Parents magazine as one of the nation's ten best science centers.
