Birthday Blasts

Every party includes:

• All-day admission to Sci-Port’s permanent exhibit areas and Sawyer Space Dome Planetarium.
• One and a half hours of fun in your own party area.
• Staff-led themed activities for party guests.
• Sci-Port's famous Liquid Nitrogen ice cream "churned" before your eyes!
• Twelve cupcakes and lemonade (sheet cake may be substituted for an additional fee).
• A party favor for each party guest.
• A gift certificate for the honoree to spend in the Discoveries Unlimited Gift Shop.

Your party package is a great value!  Sci-Port Members: $155, Non-Members: $185
Prices are for 10 children, which include the honoree and one chaperone per party guest.  Parents and grandparents of the honoree are free of charge.  All parties must be booked no later than one week prior to event.  There is a $50 fee with less than 10 days cancellation notice.  For each additional child, add $14.  For each additional chaperone, add $9.

New! For an additional $25, the birthday honoree can have his or her own lab coat! Choose from pink, blue, orange or white. Must order two weeks in advance of scheduled birthday blast.

Optional Party Upgrades:
All upgrades must be booked no later than one week prior to event.

• Additional Cupcakes - $6/dozen
  Need more than the first dozen cupcakes provided with the party?  Just ask to add more cupcakes!
  
• Sheet Cake - $20/quarter sheet, $32/half sheet
  Decorated to match your theme, you can choose a sheet cake as a substitute to the cupcakes provided in your party package. Add your child’s picture on the cake for an additional $10.
• Liquid Nitrogen Counter Culture Yogurt -  $15 (25 servings; includes your choice of one topping)
  Enjoy Counter Culture's famous frozen yogurt prepared "Sci-Port--Style" as a substitute to the ice cream provided in your party package.  Choose your topping: Oreo, Butterfinger, Reese's Pieces, M&Ms or gummy bears.
• Additional Toppings - $10/topping (25 servings)
  Add a topping to your ice cream or frozen yogurt! Choose from Oreo, Butterfinger, Reese's Pieces, M&Ms or gummy bears.
• PLUS... Add the treat of an IMAX film!
  Choose one of the currently showing films for only $6 per person.  

Food Add-Ons:
All food orders must be placed no later than Noon on the Friday before your scheduled party.

• Pizza - $15 per pizza (16 slices)
  Freshly-prepared pizza.  Choose from pepperoni or cheese.
• Soft Drinks - $4 per pitcher (10 servings)
  Ice-cold sodas to go around.  Choose from Dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, Coke, Sprite or Fruit Punch.
• Kid-Friendly Sandwich Platter - $25 (10 servings, mix & match)
  Assortment of finger-sized sandwiches (Peanut Butter & Jelly, Ham & Cheese, Turkey & Cheese)
• Adult-Friendly Sandwich Platter - $25 (10 servings, mix & match)
  Assortment of finger-sized sandwiches (Roast Beef, Ham & Cheese, Turkey & Cheese, Egg Salad, Tuna Salad, Chicken Salad, Pimento Cheese)
• Assorted Fruit Platter - $20 (10 servings)

Birthday Themes:

Science Under the Big Top (All ages)
This party includes everything from Balloon Animals, to Face Painting and a cool science experiment!  Plan to take home inflatable circus animals and silly putty! 

Creature Feature (All ages)
Have an animal lover celebrating a birthday?  Party guests will get an up close encounter with Sci-Port’s animals – some furry and some scaly!  Make and take your own critter, too!

Space Jam (All ages)
Available for 4 p.m. birthday time slots only.
This is a high energy dance party!  First, party goers make glow in the dark necklaces and bracelets.  The party then moves to our Space Dome Planetarium where it really gets started!  (Note: Please bring your own music. No explicit lyrics.) 

Tiny Tot’s Musical Birthday (Ages 1 – 5)
This party is for all the moving and grooving Tiny Tots!  Tune up the party with make and take instruments.  Then, have your tiny tot star in their own Birthday Blast Parade to our Children’s Gallery where party guests will enjoy playtime!

Digging for Dinos (Ages 4 and up)
Are you ready for a blast from the past?  Become a paleontologist, and dig for gems, dinosaurs and maybe even a shark tooth fossil.  Party guests will then have ooey gooey fun making molten lava! 

Pirate Adventures (Ages 4 and up)
Arrrggg, Matey!  Get ready to walk the plank with this fun-filled birthday party!  Fire gas-powered mini cannons to sink a ship, and collect loot!  Plus, create your own storm in a bottle! 

Shimmer & Shine (Ages 5 and up)
This party is all about the glitz and glam!  Make your own flavored lip gloss and glitter body art!  Sci-Port is the first to offer Glitter-Tattoo™ in Northwest Louisiana. 

Under the Sea (Ages 5 and up)
As Sci-Port’s #1 birthday party, guests will come face to face with sea creatures, create their very own “squishy” sea creature, go deep sea fishing and make an Ocean in a Bottle.

Sci-Port's Birthday Policies: 
You may bring your own cake, however no other food or drinks are allowed in the Center. 
Adding party upgrades or changing the theme of your party must be done at least seven days before your scheduled party. 
All food orders (Counter Culture Add-Ons) must be placed no later than Noon on the Friday before your scheduled party. 
Helium balloons are NOT allowed in the Center.
